Who we are

LateFM is a London live music listings website and newsletter. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at sam@latefm.com.

What we collect and why

The only personal data we collect directly from you is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter. We use it for one purpose: to send you our weekly newsletter about London live music.

We also record anonymous, aggregated statistics about how the site is used. That data cannot identify you — see the Analytics section below.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You gave that consent when you submitted your email address via our subscribe form.

Third parties

Our newsletter is managed by Beehiiv, who act as our data processor. Your email address is stored on their platform. You can read Beehiiv's privacy policy at beehiiv.com/privacy.

This site is hosted by Vercel, who also provide our analytics. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is being used — which pages people visit, how often, and where they arrived from. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not track you across other websites.

What it records is aggregated and anonymous: the page address, the referring site, approximate location (country, region and city), and your browser, operating system and device type. Visitors are counted using a temporary hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. We cannot use it to identify you or to reconstruct your browsing session.

Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — understanding how the site is used so we can make it better. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, we do not need to ask for your consent under PECR.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted from our systems in accordance with Beehiiv's data retention policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request that we correct or delete your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies directly. Our analytics are cookieless, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss. Our newsletter subscribe form is provided by Beehiiv, who may set cookies as part of that service.
